The Ältestenrat Max Leiser gave the author a list of about 100 old people who were to be deported from the Ghetto to an old age asylum. Instead Maiwald ordered about 800 to be loaded on the lorries which returned again and again from the “Bickenicker Wäldchen”, where all were murdered.
