- Eyewitness account by Mrs. Tuerkheim of the restitution of jewellery to the heirs after the war
- Summary:
-
In November 1947, the author received the visit of Frau Senator Karpinski and her husband from Hamburg who had come to hand over some jewelry her aunt, Frau Gertrud Ruppin, had entrusted to a captain living in her house before her deportation. With great difficulties the whereabouts of this niece had been found, and through her the jewelry got into the hands of its legal heirs, i.e. the three children of the deceased who are living in Australia.
